Stone of the Ages

We left Talbhein and travelled along the road, we met Gandalf again and he took us to a elven kingdom and said he needed the stone of ages. We gave him the stone and went to bed woke up and he had gone but he left us a purple crystal that glowed. we asked an elf what it was and he told us it was a messaging device and that he had left us a message. The message said don’t worry and that we had to find him. We decided to go back to the witch and give her the eye of Medusa. We followed a river that would lead us to a road that led us to the witch. Something was in the water I tried to poke it and it came out of the water, it was an Ameaba. Me and Fitz fought it but got swallowed, we killed it from the inside, had a bath and carried on. Found a path that went into the mountains, so we followed it this mist engulfed us and Fitz’s eyes started streaming and he was coughing. We went deeper in and found these creatures called Fimir, we attacked them and managed to get them with the eye of Medusa, we went to the witch’s cave. Gandalf was there, he told us the stone was going to explode and that he had now defused it and also taught us how to use the transmitter. We made our way back to Middenheim and along the way met a lone lizard man and tried to be friends with him but he couldn’t understand us and attacked us, I disarmed him and he ran away. Made it back and got 600 gold crowns as a reward.

The Necromancer's Castle

…whilst the jabberwock was pinned to the ground, Odin Thrasher and Fitz retreated back to the lab to find out about controlling it. They found various books but, being complete dunces, couldn’t read them. There were pictures though, so they tried throwing some of the potion they had at the jabberwock which made it go mental and start running round in circles (except its leg was stuck to the ground!). After various clumsy attempts, Fitz managed to dispatch the jabberwock with the Eye of Medusa. They searched the room and found a safe in a cupboard. Odin Thrasher tried to crack the safe a few times, unsuccessfully, so Fitz stepped in and got it first go (beginner’s luck). Inside they found the Stone of Ages, in a box. Odin Thrasher popped it in his rucksack (making them both instantly impervious to harm) but, as soon as he’d done that, the Necromancer came in by another door. He summoned an army of skeletons and battles ensued. Since Fitz and Odin Thrasher were both impervious to damage, and the skeletons were a shoddy bunch of fighters, it was all over quite soon. However, in the mayhem, the Necromancer slipped out.

Odin Thrasher and Fitz ran after the Necromancer and saw him disappearing around a corner up ahead. They followed him and, after rounding the corner, Odin Thrasher threw a spear at him. There was a green shimmer in front of the Necromancer, and the spear went straight through without hitting anything. When Odin Thrasher went to retrieve his spear, the shimmer and Necromancer disappeared – it was an illusion. The adventurers went back down the corridor and found one door open. Inside was a swimming pool, so they decided to have a swim and discovered that it had a glass bottom and they could see dungeons full of strange monsters and creatures below. After drying off and a quick sauna, they left (dispatching another group of useless skeletons) and followed the corridor round to what looked like the front door. There were statues in the hallway. They went out through the door, only to come face-to-face with two goblin guards…

As the (rather one-sided) fight was about to end Odin Thrasher asked the goblins to server him, which they agreed to do (being seconds away from a full pummelling). However, the Necromancer appeared and got them to attack again. In the fighting, the Necromancer managed to grab Odin Thrasher‘s rucksack containing the Stone of Ages – so getting rid of Fitz and Odin Thrasher’s protection. The fight wasn’t going well for the Necromancer so he magicked himself away. Odin Thrasher persuaded the goblins to serve him again, and got them to lead him to the Necromancer. Fitz and Odin Thrasher (and the goblins) pinned the Necromancer in a corner and got the rucksack back. After a quiet chat (involving swords and necks) the adventurers left, ordering the goblins to keep the Necromancer subdued for the next day.

Fitz and Odin Thrasher followed the road away from the castle and travelled, uneventfully, to the town of Talabheim (Map) where they feasted and found a room for the night.

Still going

Travelled along the path and heard a swooping noise, I felt something brushed past me, Fitz used the eye of medusa to turn it into stone, got its left wing it crashed into the woods so we checked it out, it turned out to be a liche (a undead necromancer). Killed it, we heard something else on the path, we went to look it was a large group of ghouls.We used the eye of medusa and killed 4 of them and rooted 12 to the ground. I chopped of the heads off two ghouls and chopped one arm each off 4 ghouls, the rest retreated so we followed them into a misty swamp, found out it was a ancient battle ground,ghouls saw us they ran even further we found a shield and some amethyst. We found a path we followed the it and the land got firmer. We came up too a river and walked upstream to try and find a way across we were at the edge of some woods with some trees that had fallen down and used some rope and wood to make a raft. We crossed the river and then disguised the raft and walked downstream, met a person who in return for some leftover lizard skin told us that there was a secret passage way into the necromancers castle. We found the way in and travelled along the tunnel, we came up to a door knocked on it and said “Pizza delivery!” a person came and opened the door with a sword in his hand and he swung at us. I attacked him back killed him and found on him: a multiple spell jewel, and a grimoire, we found two rooms in one we found a sink and water, the other one looked like a alchemy lab and we found in there a poison and a health potion along with a potion which we assumed was a means too control the jaberwock because there was a open book which was called how to control a jaberwock, we went along the corridor where there was a door which we opened slightly and heard a buzzing noise we shut the door quickly because we knew that jaberwocks make that noise with there wings.Fits held the eye of medusa at the door and I opened it, it turned out that the jaberwock had moved so I came face to face to it. It attempted to bite me but it missed, then it stomped on me, Fits turned its left leg to stone so the jaberwock taillashed us we stepped back. To be continued…

Old Woman in cave in Middle Mountains has key to doing thiss – you went to see her helped by Gandalf on the way. Gained Medusas Eye which partially turns to stone any who look upon it.

Progressed to theWoods and came across a group of Lizardmen and amazingly managed to overcome all 10. Have taken booty of skins and made full body protection from it.
